A Riverdog Retreat Event:

Saturday June 5

Phoebe Hunt's

DEEP DIVE

Picture

Physical - Spiritual - Creative

A gathering in the Meadow at Riverdog

Outdoors and socially distanced

Join Phoebe Hunt for a creative "Deep Dive" under the twin canopies in the beautiful Riverdog Retreat Meadow.

The morning session will begin at 10:00 am with a gentle yoga practice and meditation guided by Phoebe to "ground in" and set the tone of the gathering.  The "creative container" will be opened with an intimate circle to ignite the spark within the assembled community.
Early June is really the beginning of the summer months and In many native traditions, the summer is dedicated to creativity and artistic expression.  It is the time for the yogis and the artists to journey and experience “freedom”. Think of the idea of “summer love”, music festivals and vacation. After the long period when so many of us have been isolated, this can be a way to gently ease us back in normal function.
There will be a break for a potluck shared vegetarian lunch. Numerous well-spaced chairs and tables from the music venue will be available just outside the canopies.

In the afternoon, participants will each spend time in their our own unique creative space, exploring nature, writing songs and then we will come back together for a sharing circle to witness one another in our revelations and visioning.
The program will close with a second restorative yoga practice.

A “Peace Bundle” will be a gift for those who attend the “Deep Dive”.
Included in the bundle:
Palo Santo
California White Sage
Beeswax candle
Peace Oil Roller Bottle
Veda Warrior CBD (Ayurvedic Herbs)
Deep Blue Rub Sample

This bundle (valued at $25) will be a gift for anyone who attends the workshop.  We will utilize the items in the bundle throughout the day of our yoga and creative retreat to enhance the experience and deepen into our creative flow.  Bring a journal, a yoga mat, and a vegetarian potluck item for a shared lunch.

Phoebe's parents met at the IYI Yoga Ashram in New York as disciples of Swami Satchidananda in the 1970's, so yoga and inner exploration comes naturally to her. Recently, she completed her 200 yoga teacher certificate through Kali Yuga Yoga in Nashville, TN as well as received a certificate in transformational facilitation from one of her greatest mentors, Vanessa Stone. Hunt believes that the unique creative expressions and artistic ideas that come to a person are the breadcrumbs that guide an individual to express their fullest potential and serve humanity.

An accomplished Americana instrumentalist with foundations in jazz and swing music, Hunt is no stranger to the festival stage, having toured extensively as a member of the Americana sweethearts group The Belleville Outfit in her formative years. She has appeared on stages as a support musician to the likes of Ben Sollee, Woody Pines, John Moreland and Shakey Graves, but it is when she is leading her band, The Gatherers that she truly shines. Her most recent release, Shanti’s Shadow, recorded following an intensive Indian classical music study with her band brought them to stages such as Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Mountain Stage and eTown.

Hunt’s work on and off stage has deep story lines that have led her to the TEDx stage multiple times to speak on the transformational power of music. Her work with War Veterans as the producer of the Reveille Songwriting Retreat has guided her to see songwriting as a vehicle for inner revelation rather than a quest for external rewards, and she teaches this philosophy through her online music school, Plant Seeds Of Music, which she brought together as a way to unite musicians and music students throughout the course of the pandemic.
